Health Inspectors Close Sacramento Restaurant After Customer Finds Cockroach In His Burrito

I’ve actually never heard of this spot, but they have three locations and decent rating on Yelp! However, Carolina’s Mexican Food on Franklin Boulevard has been shut down by the Health Department of Sacramento County.

According to FOX 40, mouse droppings and dozens of cockroaches were found in the kitchen of the restaurant. In fact, a customer reportedly found a roach in his burrito. The county found German cockroaches in multiple life stages in various areas on the kitchen at Carolina’s Mexican Food. On top of that, a mouse was found roaming through the walk-in cooler.

No word on if the Sacramento restaurant will reopen and if their other locations are affected by the closing.
