- Pink Cadillac – Filmed in Sacramento at 9th Street and Capitol Mall
- Frankie and Johnnie – Shot in Sacramento and Folsom
- Life – The parts in the field were largely shot in West Sacramento
- Phenomenon – Shot in Auburn
- Almost Famous – A scene where the bus is driving down the “Midwest Highway” was actually shot in Lincoln
- Breakdown – Filmed in Auburn, Cool, Newcastle and Sacramento
- Misery – Set in Donner Pass and I-80 in Placer County
