If you’re a fan of East Sacramento’s Hot City Pizza, we’ve got bad news…

According to the Sacramento Bee, the pizza place is shutting its doors for good on January 27th.

First opening in 2007, the joint is well-known for its whole-wheat pizzas, rotating craft beer menu, and hole-in-the-wall aesthetic. The Bee also gave the place rave reviews when they visited in 2014.

A statement on the restaurant’s website said:

“We have enjoyed serving you and would like to thank you for your support… Although this is (a) bittersweet moment, it is time to raise our glasses to the next chapter. Cheers to all for your loyalty and friendship.”
