Jason Aldean has a few records that are solidified as his “go-tos.”
The singer revealed that he enjoys revisiting older albums, and that they can help refresh a new sound. He told Nash Country Daily:
“Honestly, I probably go back and listen to more old albums than I do new albums. I have my go-to records, and I’ll go back and listen to Alabama’s ‘Mountain Music’ or the Allman Brothers’ ‘Brothers and Sisters’ album. Or Hank Jr.’s ‘Major Moves’ and John Anderson’s ‘I Just Came Home to Count the Memories.'”

“I love going back and listening to all that stuff because I think a lot of times music kinda comes full circle, too,” he added. “A lot of stuff that was being used in the ’70s and ’80s, it kinda [went] away in the ’90s. Then all of the sudden in the 2000s, it’s new and fresh again, so you start hearing that instrumentation coming back around.”
