Jimboy’s Tacos has been in midtown for years. But recently they’ve had a problem finding/keeping employees. So much so that they posted a sign in their 29th Street location apologizing for slow service.

Sacramento Business Journal posted a photo of said sign. It reads:

“We sincerely apologize for any excessive waiting you may have experienced. In our 40-plus years of operating this restaurant we have never experienced such difficult staffing issues, which we are having today and in recent months. In a nutshell, very few persons want to work. We are doing our ‘short-handed’ best. Thank you for your patience.”

There are 40 Jimboy’s Tacos locations around Northern California. However, it’s not clear if the employee shortage is isolated to the midtown location.

I appreciate that they acknowledged the issues they are having with customer service. But, I’m not sure that people don’t want to work. Maybe this publicity will help drive people to apply. I don’t know.

So, what do you think? Was posting this a good or bad idea? Sound off in the comments.
