Smoke Prompts Sacramento County Health Alert To Limit Outdoor Activity
By Cody Briana on August 7, 2018
Downtown Sacramento looked frightening yesterday with all the smoke in the air from the wildfires, and sadly, it’s not going to get better the next few days. Sacramento County released a statement Monday urging residents to take precautions and limit outdoor activities through Friday, Sac Bee reports. This applies to all, including the healthy. However, children, the elderly and people with respiratory or heart conditions should be extra cautious. Health officials are also advising everyone stay indoors with the windows closed. If you are coughing, short of breath, or have other symptoms you think are caused by smoke, contact your doctor.
