KFC Is At It Again With Their Marketing Game

The marketing folks over at KFC have been working hard this year with some clever promotions for their restaurant, and they’ve done it again, but it ISN’T food.

The folks over at Kentucky Fried Chicken are clever. Their marketing game is creative and innovative. Remember how they offered money to someone to name their baby after their founder? That was great marketing, and now they’ve got something else just in time for the holidays.

No, their new thing isn’t a peppermint milkshake or pumpkin pie flavored chicken or anything like that. It’s not even edible. It’s a log, for your fireplace. Like one of those starter logs – branded with KFC. But it’s what the log smells like that’s getting the attention. The log smells like their chicken. It’s a fried chicken-scented fire log. It’s just hilarious, and I know they’re going to sell out of these things. The going price is $18.99, but I’d expect that to climb once they hit eBay.

KFC released this statement: “At KFC, we have always been proud of our role in bringing loved ones together at the dinner table around a bucket of our world-famous fried chicken… Now, this winter we’re bringing all the things we love — family, friends and fried chicken — together around the fire with our scented firelog.” You can buy them starting today right here.
