LeAnn Rimes Is Top Country Artist on Billboard’s 6-Decade Hot 100 Compilation

Billboard is celebrating the 60th anniversary of the Hot 100 chart, which launched August 4th 1958. The magazine posted a massive list of the top 600 songs over the chart’s six-decade history, which includes several country songs in the top 100. LeAnn Rimes is the highest-ranking country artist of all, coming in at #5 with 1997’s “How Do I Live.” The next highest country song is Debby Boone’s 1977 “You Light Up My Life,” which landed at #11. Kenny Rogers is #60 with 1980’s “Lady,” followed by Shania Twain, who’s #85 with 1998’s “Still the One.”
