Call it a lifeline. A story. A legend. Pointed towards my heart, pushed forward by my past. Unfinished by design. To be completed as life unfolds…every album gets it’s own mark. According to Taste of Country, the country singer and guitarist had planned her tattoo for a while, and finally pulled the trigger over the weekend. She reportedly implied that her tattoo was unfinished, saying it was “to be completed as life unfolds.” She also referred to her new tattoo as a “lifeline”, explaining that the two arrows pointing toward her heart acted as a story to be “pushed forward by her past”. Ells credited her friend and producer, Sugarland’s Kristian Bush, as a source of inspiration and encouragement for getting her personal tattoo.
“Every album gets its own mark,” Ells said, revealing the personal relationship between her new tattoo and her ongoing musical journey. “Hello tattoo world.”
