It’s going to be a beautiful weekend in Sacramento and there’s lots of ways to get out and enjoy it!

The Sacramento Grilled Cheese Festival is happening this Saturday and Sunday at Southside Park. Saturday’s event is limited to adults 21+ and will feature UNLIMITED samples of specialty grilled cheese sandwiches! Plus, desserts, a collectible glass, music, and games will be offered. Sunday’s event is all ages, and will feature live music, kids’ activities, games, and more. Attendees can purchase sandwich samples directly from the participating restaurants. Yum! This year’s festival is a benefit for Shriner’s Children’s Hospital. Get more info here

Get creative with the Greater Sacramento Sierra Chapter of the California Art Club and a Paint/Sculpt-out along The American River Parkway. There are various locations to set up and paint or sculpt, from Bannister Park to the Sacramento Bar Park in Fair Oaks. At 2:30 p.m., everyone will return to the picnic area at Sacramento Bar for a “show and tell” and friendly critique by featured artist, Terry Miura. More details here.

There’s a walk to end pancreatic cancer, PanCAN PurpleStride. The event gets underway at 8:30 at Riverwalk Park. More info here!
