Maren Morris Played Marriage Card For Ryan Hurd To Star In ‘Rich’ Video
Maren Morris recently released her fun, Western themed ‘Rich’ video. The lead cowboy is played by none other than her husband, Ryan Hurd.

Maren Morris recently released her fun, Western themed “Rich” video. Maren played the marriage card a little early to get Ryan to be in her video.
She told Sounds Like Nashville:
“Ryan looks really good in it. Ryan looks better than I do in it. Yeah, so it’s a Western. I think a lot of people were thinking we would go super Vegas-y with it but I think we just wanted to do something unexpected and Ryan has never been in a video of mine, so I was like, ‘We’re getting married in a month. I think you owe me this,’ and so, he’s the cowboy in it and it was the most fun, easy shoot I’ve ever done.”
Filming the video also helped Maren get a little more comfortable around horses:
“I kind of conquered my fear of horses. I have a very nice horse. It’s the last single from the record and we get to do this crazy badass Western video for it. TK McKamy, who did the ‘Craving You’ video, directed ‘Rich,’ so he just had such a great treatment for it and he’s a badass himself. So, it’s going to be really cool and should be out. We’re not going to have to wait too long for all of it… it’s very funny and doesn’t take itself too seriously, which is the meaning of ‘Rich.’”
