Memorial Service For Deputy Ishmael Is Tuesday

The memorial service for slain El Dorado County Sheriff’s Deputy Brian Ishmael is Tuesday, starting at 10am, at Bayside Adventure Church in Roseville on Stanford Ranch Road.

The ceremony, expected to last about two hours, is open to the public. Afterward, the funeral procession route proceeds along Stanford Ranch to hwy 65, then to east bound 80 to Sierra College. From Sierra College it will proceed south on Hazel to hwy 50, and then eastbound to Placerville. There will be temporary rolling street closures along the route so if you’re traveling anywhere in the vicinity, keep that in mind ( to see a detailed map, click here).

There will be ample opportunity for community members to pay their respects along the route, either roadside or on overpasses. Just be safe if you decide to do so, and observe all standard pedestrian laws.
