Three weeks after being closed down due to health code violations, Carolina’s Mexican Food on Franklin has reopened. Last month, a customer found a cockroach in one of his burritos. That prompted him to call Sacramento Country Environmental Management Department. They found dozens of live cockroaches and mouse droppings during an inspection, according to Sac Bee.

The inspection prompted a closure, and even though a restaurant can have a follow up inspection, Carolina’s waited three weeks. But the good news is, they passed. Now, it turns out cockroaches breed in the summer and like to nest near food or moist areas. In fact, there have been other restaurants in town with similar problems.
Now that it’s been a few weeks and they’ve passed their inspection, will you eat there?
