Dangit, I haven’t been here yet and now there’s going to always be a wait. Midtown Sacramento restaurant, Localis, just made Eater’s list of 38 essential restaurants in California.
The article calls the midtown spot the “Jewel of Sacramento’s homegrown Farm to Fork movement.” There are almost 400 reviews on Yelp!, and Localis maintains a 4.5 star rating.

Llano Seco pork loin. A ton of work to butcher this and put it back together. Definitely a winner from the new menu. Localis is located at 2031 S Street. But like I said, you can probably expect it to be a bit busier now that the word is out. There were a lot of San Francisco and Bay Area cities on Eater’s essential list. So, if you’ll be in that area soon, you might want to check out some of those spots as well.
