Millennials Are Being Accused of Killing The Canned Tuna Industry

According to Andy Mecs of StarKist, the tuna industry is declining because Millennials can’t or don’t want to use a can opener…

Yes you read that right. Don’t you just love a good story that’s so random and slightly hilarious. Also I love that Millennials are always getting so much heat for everything and anything.

Millennials are turning away from processed foods in favor of more higher quality food that smaller brands offer.

StarKist is playing catch up to the smaller brands by offering pouches that are easy to travel with and don’t require a can opener.

It’s all about convenience right!

StarKist has even dabbled with flavors like Sriracha to try to attract millennials.
