With CMA Fest this weekend in Nashville, there’s all kinds of excitement happening around Music City. To kick off the fun filled weekend, over 1,000 people joined Miranda Lambert and her husband Brendan Mcloughlin for her MuttNation Foundation’s 2019 Mutt March.

According to The Tennessean, Dan from Dan + Shay and his wife helped to lead the parade: “Animal rescue is so close to our hearts. We get to do music for a living. It’s a dream come true … and it gives us a platform to … spread some good in the world. There are dogs who will never find that family and there are people looking for a new family member, a new dog. We just encourage people to go to a shelter.”

Altogether the MuttNation Foundation hosted its Mutt March, attracting more than 2,000 people to march through Nashville over its two events. Lambert’s goal this year was to have one thousand dog walkers but in the next 10 years her goal is 10,000. “It gives me drive and energy to do more and go bigger,” says Miranda.
