If you were growing up during the 90s, you probably watched Nickelodeon. “Hey Arnold,” “Real Monsters,” “Doug,” etc. In case you wanted to take a trip down nostalgia lane, there’s a new streaming service bringing those back.

Kids these days have iPads and phones, interactive talking toys, and Amazon Alexa. We had homework and Nickelodeon to keep us busy. And what they say about old things coming back into popularity is true. Just look at all the fancy facial hair, actual hairstyles, and jeans you see at the bar down the R Street Corridor these days. It was only a matter of time before this happened. The new streaming service is called “Nicksplat.”

It will offer a bunch of the great shows, but at first, only a couple seasons from each. Their plans do include expanding in the future as popularity grows. So for shows like “Doug,” “Are You Afraid of the Dark?,” “Rocko’s Modern Life,” etc, you’ll get the first two seasons. Some shows are only the first season, like “The Angry Beavers” and “CatDog.” The full list can be seen here of what they’re offering. The service will be $5.99 per month, and truly, that’s not that bad for all those classics. Hopefully they expand the list even more but keep the same pricing. Something you’d be interesting in subscribing to? Or do you see this more as a novelty that would be fun to watch a couple things from and forget about?
