An Oregon man recently caused a scary incident in a courtroom when tried stealing a gun from a police officer…
According to Fox News, the terrifying moment occurred last Wednesday. 27-year-old Scott Patrick Lemmon was on trial for allegedly pointing a realistic-gun at two people while robbing and threatening to kill them.
In shocking courtroom footage, Lemmon eyes an officer’s gun for a few seconds before deciding to grab for it. However, after he leaped out of his chair, officers quickly reacted and took Lemmon down.

The Sheriff’s office spokesman, Sgt. Josh McDowall, told reporters later:
“There would have been a shootout in the courthouse. I don’t like to think about it. It would have been scary.”
Surprisingly, the judge in the case denied a request from the sheriff’s office to use an “electronic restraint” on Lemmon before this incident took place. While McDowall admitted the device would not have stopped Lemmon for lunging for the gun, it would have stopped him from being able to use it if he’d managed to grab it.
Scott Patrick Lemmon was later convicted on all the charges he was facing, according to KVAL 13. He’s also likely to face more charges over the courtroom incident.
