We couldn’t love this more! Beginning in 2020, military veterans in California won’t have to pay adoption fees at animal shelters throughout the state, CBS Sacramento reports. Senate Bill 245 states a companion animal could be beneficial to veterans, particularly those struggling to cope with Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder. The state’s existing veteran driver’s license can be used starting January 1st to confirm eligible.
