It’s cold season. As much as we all try to avoid it (did you get your flu shot yet?), sometimes the cold still hits. Perhaps one of the worst symptoms is congestion! As it turns out, though, hanging a eucalyptus plant in your shower may actually cure a stuffy nose.

Not only does eucalyptus smell amazing, but the health benefits are great, as well. According to Delish, it can help with respiratory issues. The natural steam from your shower brings out the essential oils in the plant, which relieves nasal congestion and inflammation related to sinus and bronchial infections.

So if you’re slowly going crazy from your blocked sinuses, it could be worth a try to go out and buy some eucalyptus. You don’t need to get a huge amount, either. A bundle that’s about two inches in diameter should be good to put in two showers for a solid month.

Here’s where a bit of DIY crafting comes in. After you have your stalks, you’ll want to tie them together and place them towards the back of your shower head. Make sure you place the eucalyptus in a way that it won’t hit the direct water stream.

Really, who needs to spend the extra cash on a spa day when you can just pamper yourself at home? Definitely going to have to try this one!
