Which Pop Superstar Joined Devin Dawson At “Sanctuary For Songwriters”?
By Admin on October 11, 2018
Orangevale native Devin Dawson made his debut at Nashville’s venerated Bluebird Cafe on Tuesday night, where he was joined by a few other Nashville songwriters and some red-headed British guy named Ed.
Yep. Pop superstar Ed Sheeran made an unannounced visit to the Bluebird–a place songwriters have played for decades to try out new material–because Amy Wadge, the writer of his song “Thinking Out Loud” was one of the other songwriters performing that night. What made it even more surprising is that Sheeran was skipping out on the American Music Awards, which were being held the same night.
As awesome making his debut at the Bluebird was for Devin–he calls it a “sanctuary for songwriters”–he seemed equally in awe of sharing the same evening, and stage, with Sheeran
Unbelievable experience at @bluebirdcafetn last night. Honored to share it with some great friends & a special shout out to @edsheeran for the “Thinking Out Loud” cameo. Thanks to everyone who was a part of my first night at the sanctuary of songwriters. I’ll never forget it. pic.twitter.com/YpFwWBXmjb

And so did Wadge–even though she was the reason he showed up!
If you’re ever in Nashville, the Bluebird is a MUST visit, because you never know who’s going to be there.
