Sac State Latest School Switching To Online Classes
They join Elk Grove Unified, Sierra College and other local schools changing standard operations in light of Coronavirus threat

The NBA suspending games, Festivals and concerts being postponed or canceled…the fire hose of information that is the result of Coronavirus shows no sign losing pressure. Just today, Sacramento State became one of the latest schools to announced they will join other colleges and school districts in California and around the country in moving classes online to prevent further spread of the virus.
According to an official announcement from school officials, “all instruction will be suspended” next Monday through Thursday so faculty can prepare for the switch. Then, beginning Friday, March 20th, all courses (with a few exceptions like labs and theater arts) will be online.
Sac State, which has a current student body population of over 23,000, will not be closing campus, however, and campus residence and dining halls, as well as other student services, will still be open. Read the full thread and find a link to the school president’s statement below
Update on coronavirus: Sacramento State will begin transitioning courses to online delivery for the remainder of the spring semester:
All instruction will be suspended from Mon., March 16, to Thurs., March 19, to provide faculty time to prepare & transition courses online.
