Sacramento County Owes Money To 10,000 People—See If You’re One Of Them

I never get any money from things like this. But, that means I didn’t overpay on taxes, fees or bills. So, it’s probably for the best. Still, having an unexpected $1,000 check from Sacramento County right now would be awesome!

Why Sacramento County Could Owe You Money

Apparently, the county sends out checks and when they aren’t cashed, the post the information online. I actually have been sent a check and shredded it because I thought it was junk mail. When you don’t get a heads up, you don’t expect money in the mail. So, I totally get it.

Currently, there are 10,000 uncashed checks, according to KCRA, which total about $2.4 million. You can check this list to see if your name is on it. Just do the old CTRL + F trick. You can also go here and scroll down to the bottom of the page.
