The city of Sacramento is rolling out its enforcement plan today for shared rideables, like Jump bikes and Lime scooters. KCRA reports parking enforcement officers will begin handing out warnings when electric scooters and bikes are improperly parked. After a two-week grace period, officers will hand out citations of $27.50 to the operators, like Lime and Uber, the owners of Jump bikes and e-scooters. According to both companies, they will pass the fines on to users. Not only that, officers will start cracking down on moving violations, like riding on sidewalks. Fines could reach up to $207! So use those bike lanes like you’re suppose to!
