Sacramento Introduces Lyft Discounts For The Holiday Season

The city of Sacramento wants to help keep people safe during Christmas and New Year’s. As a result, the city is offering Lyft discounts for both new and existing users.

The Sacramento Bee reports that Lyft will provide discounted rides throughout the Sacramento region. This includes El Dorado, Placer and Sacramento counties.

New users get $5 off their first 10 rides with the code RIDESAFE2018. Additionally, existing users will receive 10% off two rides with the code RIDESAFECA.

And, if you’re going to be the DD this year, you can download an app that shows which bars offer freebies.  It’s called “DDVIP”.

Last year there were 1,059 DUI deaths in California at .08 or above. The Lyft discounts are good now through the first of they year, so make sure to take advantage of them if you’re going to be drinking.
