Produce Express, a Sacramento-based produce wholesaler, has had its business selling direct-to-restaurants cut by up to 70% due to the Covid-19 quarantine. So, for the time-being, they’re offering their inventory to us!

According Produce Express employee Erik Aldrich, who reached out this week,

We have heard the stories of people not being able to buy groceries at the stores and decided to try and help our community out. We are offering Consumer Boxes (at wholesale prices) to the public. They are filled with different themes and prices

Aldrich says they are trying to create pick-up sights around the region, including Roseville, El Dorado Hills and Davis but for now, boxes, which range in price from $20-$45, can be picked up at their Sacramento warehouse between 11 and 2pm (8340 Belvedere ave Sacramento CA). But you do need to order ahead either via their website (click here) or call them at 916 446-8918.

Aldrich says with supplies of some goods in short demand,

We are all in this together and think this could help get fresh produce to the people who need it“.

According to Aldrich, Produce Express began in Sacramento in 1984 and has grown into a company with 112 employees and is still family owned and operated.
