According to a new report from TRIP, a Washington, D.C.-based transportation research group, Sacramento roads are some of the worst. The city came in at number 12 for large urban areas. Does that surprise you?

San Francisco came in at number one, as in it has the worst roads in the nation. California cities actually make up about a third of the list. Following San Francisco are San Jose (2) and Los Angeles (3).

These conditions also add to the expenses people spend annually on their car. Apparently the average is $599, but in Sacramento it’s $754 and in San Francisco $1,049.
