She Found The Ring Her Boyfriend Was Going To Propose With, Shamed It Online
This woman was going through some things and found the ring her boyfriend was going to propose with, but instead of being excited, she shamed its size online.

A woman found the ring her boyfriend was going to use to propose to her. Problem was, she hated it, and took a picture of it to shame online.
The woman’s identity was blocked, but she posted a picture of the ring online (seen here). She chose to complain about the ring, which honestly looks pretty big to me, in a ring-shaming group. Her post said “Ewwwww. Self shame Friday here I come… Found this in the BF’s nightstand. Not a fan.” Then, she asked for some advice about how to handle the situation, sort of. She asked how she can “tactfully” say “no you need to go get something different” to him when he asks her to marry him. Yeah, you see why everyone was a little shocked.
Naturally, the post originally intended to shame the ring made its way around the internet. It ended up on online community Reddit, where people gave the woman their opinion. One user wrote “Plot twist, it’s not for her.” Another added “Plot twist: It was his moms/grandmothers ring and he wanted to pass it along to his future wife.” Yet another post says “Honestly, her saying no would be the best thing to happen to the person who’s planning to propose.”
Clearly this is a problem, right? I mean, the ring shouldn’t have to be some super big deal, and what it means is more important, right? See some more on the story here. The other concern here is that there’s an entire ring-shaming group on Facebook?
