So we’re heading into the holiday season, and of course with the holiday season comes a change of Starbucks drinks. There’s only one issue, this new drink is only offered in Japan..at least for the time being.
Starbucks Japan announced that they released a new drink called the Merry Strawberry Cake Frappaccino, and it was released last Friday, November 1st.
The new frapp tastes a lot like a traditional strawberry shortcake. There frapp even includes a piece of sponge cake at the bottom of the cup, as well as a bright red strawberry sauce, sponge cake-flavored crumbs.
This sounds delicious and hopefully will be coming to America next!

Starbucks Japan is getting fancy again with a new seasonal Frappuccino: Merry Strawberry Cake! This one starts with a base made from shortbread and sponge cake crumbs, then a layer of strawberry sauce, cake flavored creme Frappuccino, and topped with whipped cream and crunchy strawberry pieces. Huge thanks to @soranews24 for the translation! The Frappuccino debuts in Japan today. There is still no official word on Starbucks’ winter menu for the US. But hip2save.com reports a rumor that a new Irish Cream Cold Brew will be out December 3. They also claim the majority of the winter menu will debut November 7.
