This story is disturbing and hopefully not true. But, some students at DaVinci Charter Academy in Davis are claiming they were given cookies made with human remains.

Police are investigating, and so far, the only evidence is student testimony. Multiple students claim the sugar cookies included the ashes of another student’s grandmother. However, the cookies have not been tested yet, according to CBS 13.

Not surprisingly, Davis Police Lt. Paul Doroshov has never heard of a case like this before “…this is a weird one. I have not heard of anyone getting sick or anybody being harmed as far as physically, physiologically by this.”

Two students are being questioned with handing out the cookies, which nine other DaVinci Charter Academy students ate. Although Davis police aren’t sure what the charges would be if the cookies are contaminated.
