If your kids have been asking for a puppy and you have been on the fence about it, a new study says that YOU SHOULD get them that puppy!

Sciencetimes.com says that a new study done by researchers from the University of Western Australia and Telethon Kids Institute proved that pre-school aged kids who have a dog may behave better than kids without dogs.

According to the study:

“Experts believe that younger children who spend time with their pets when they are not in school learn better empathy.”

The study also found that

In their findings, the researchers found that kids from households with dogs are “less likely to have problems expressing emotions and social interactions” and are more likely to be kind towards others.

Having a dog in the house could “benefit the childrens’ wellbeing and development”, according to the leader of the study.
