Well, that’s because it IS toilet water. Yeah, so this guy was caught brewing tea using toilet water, and he was selling it to passengers on a train. It happened in India.
So in India, the train is one of the most popular ways to get around. When on the train (which is usually over-crowded anyway), sometimes you get thirsty. Some clever individuals decided to capitalize on the thirst of others, and started selling drinks on the trains. You still have laws to follow, you have to be licensed and mind all necessary sanitary procedures, etc. So you can see why people started questioning things when guys were coming out of the train’s bathroom with the cans used to make the tea. We like to think they were getting the water from a fresh water tank, and not from the bowl itself, but details are spotty.

The three guys who were a part of the tea-bust said they went into the bathroom to transfer milk from can-to-can. They say that they didn’t want to do it in the open, which is why they went into the bathroom. Seems odd still, but believable, albeit still gross. Anyway, someone caught everything on video and there was no way the guys could argue the situation any further. Why video was rolling in the bathroom is beyond me, but there you go. India has been cracking down pretty hard on food safety issues in the country recently. Food poisoning is reported as one of the most common illnesses in the country. Police even recently seized about 20-tons of rotten meat that was being sold straight to restaurants. See the original story here.
