Teen Snatches MAGA Hat Off Classmate’s Head, Faces Battery Charges

A Union Mine High School student was arrested Monday and charged with battery after berating another student wearing a “Make America Great Again” hat, authorities said. A high school student grabbed the hat off another student’s head and threw it to the ground before the teacher told the student to leave the class, this according to an El Dorado Sheriff’s Office press release. After the student returned to class, he started the argument again reaching for the hat. The teacher tried to separate the students, and then got slapped in the arm by the suspected student. At that point the student was taken to Juvenile Hall and is awaiting potential battery charges.
