A Texas woman lead police on a crazy police chase down a busy freeway. While the chase in itself was scary enough, the woman completely shocked officers when she tried fleeing on foot with a baby…

According to ABC 13, the woman was driving down the highway in a Mercedes SUV when the chase began. After cops tried to pull her over, the woman took off at speeds over 100 mph.

Although police managed to get her to hit a spike strip, the woman kept driving and swerving between cars. However, she eventually reached an intersection with too many cars for her to dodge. She unfortunately ended up slamming hard into a pickup truck waiting at a light.

While the chase should have ended there, the woman proceeded to jump out of the car and run to the backseat. There, she pulled a baby carrier out with a crying child inside and took off on foot.

After running across the road, she tried hijacking another vehicle that had a mom and child inside. Although the woman managed to get into the car, police arrived and arrested her. The other mom was also able to get her child out of the car and away from the scene as well.

Unsurprisingly, the woman is now being charged with evading arrest, endangering a child, and possession of a controlled substance. Texas police also revealed that the woman had an open felony warrant before the incident took place.

While it’s unclear if any other drivers suffered injuries during this incident, we hope everyone is doing okay.
