Trader Joe’s Is Now Selling Ube Ice Cream!

I had no idea what ube was up until maybe a couple months ago.  However, if you haven’t tried it, it’s a purple yam from the Philippines and is often used as the base flavor for desserts like ice cream and doughnuts.

Now Trader Joe’s is starting to sell ube flavored ice cream!

According to Trader Joe’s, the ice cream is “sweet & nutty, with hints of coconut; some liken it to a cross between vanilla & pistachio.”

Apparently it’s only $3 per pint!
