Angie Gentry, the widow of Troy Gentry, filed a wrongful death lawsuit over Troy’s fatal helicopter accident. She’s suing Sikorsky Aircraft Co. and Keystone Helicopter Co., the manufacturers of the helicopter. Troy died in a crash on Sept. 8, 2017.

According to Pop Culture Media, Angie is suing on the grounds that the helicopter Troy was in did not pass safety tests. The lawsuit states that the company was aware of the issues and willfully ignored them. The lawsuit reads:

“The dangers from the lack of crashworthiness and defects in the engine, transmission and sprag clutch, throttle cables, engine attachments and absence of crashworthy features were unknown to the average user and consumer of this helicopter but well known to these defendants who made it a point to hide and deny and problems that could and did cause serious personal injury and death.”

Troy passed away at 50-years-old. He is survived by his wife and two daughters, Taylor, 24, and Kaylee, 15.
