Well now I won’t be able to listen to these the same ever again! This all started with a man behind bars by the name of Edmund Kemper, a man in California Medical Facility State Prison for the murder of six college students, starting an initiative called the Blind Project. This project started ran between 1977 and 1987, that helped blind people to be able to pretty much read books. Kemper was the voice for reading books such as Flowers in the AtticThe Glass KeyMerlin’s MirrorPetals on the WindThe Rosary MurdersSphinx and Star Wars.

Kemper was even awarded a pair of trophies for his help with the program. He had quite an emotional response. He said, “I can’t begin to tell you what this has meant to me, to be able to do something constructive for someone else, to be appreciated by so many people, the good feeling it gives me after what I have done.”
