We Asked If Oatmeal Was Cereal Or Not. We Were Shocked By Who Answered
Ever notice the dumbest topics set off the biggest debates?

Sometimes the dumbest things lead to the most passionate discussions. Case in point: Cody this week mentioned in passing that oatmeal is not a cereal. I don’t even remember the context of the conversation. Pat and I quickly and quite confidently disagreed, but Cody held her ground. So we asked our co-workers.
When we realized just how big the divide was, we threw it out on social media with 2 polls, both of which came back in favor of Cody’s opinion that oatmeal is not a cereal. But still we were unconvinced. We even called a grocery store to ask what aisle you find oatmeal on and when she said “the cereal aisle” we were like, there it is! Irrefutable proof! Oatmeal is a cereal!
But then we looked through the thread of our Twitter poll and saw a reply from an unexpected source.
Wilford Brimley.

But in no universe did I expect him to actually reply. And yet….
And if you notice, his reply is simple and direct, and yet still sort of evasive isn’t it? Which is actually an even better answer than if he’d just issued a solid final answer. Thank you Wilford, for answering.
It was the right thing to do.
Even if we’re still not quite sure what you mean.
