By Admin on December 19, 2017

Are you ready to adopt a new dog? Well, if you do it at the Bradshaw Animal Shelter, it could be free! Right now they are sponsoring 10 adoptions of dogs through PB SOC. The group works with pit bull type and larger dog breeds.

All you have to do is pick out your new best friend, fill out an application and do their free online counseling. Then, you can bring home your new best friend for the holidays. Or, the pawlidays.

Need help choosing? Let me show you some of my favorite Bradshaw Animal Shelter residents! Click here to see all the available doggos.

CHARLOTTE

If this baby girl’s underbite isn’t enough to reel you in, perhaps her snuggle expertise, love of toys and treats, and great walking ability will get you.

FOSTER NEEDED! Charlotte is one of our dogs urgently needing out. We know her as a lovely girl who enjoys the company of other gentle playing dogs and who gives great doggy hugs to her human friends. We all LOVE her, but her stress levels have skyrocketed and she's being quite barrier reactive while in her kennel which is a major turnoff to potential adopters. She needs out of the shelter immediately!! Charlotte was found and housed by her finder for 2 weeks, and she loved the 2 year old and 8 year olds in the home. Of course, they adored her in return. She desperately misses being a companion to a family. Visit her webpage @pb_soc and contact us right away at sacramentocountydogs@gmail.com if this sweetie can come home with you. BUSTER

He may only have three legs, but that doesn’t hold Buster back at all. He is a staff and volunteer favorite that’s been in the shelter for too long.

🎄BUSTER🎄 So, Buster's adoption lasted about a minute. His adopters thought he was too hyper for their kids. "Hyper" is in the eye of the beholder, but we need to remind you that dogs who have been cooped up at the shelter, whether for a week or like Buster, months, need time to decompress. A day or two at home isn't enough time. Some will be extra quiet and reserved their first few days, while others will just be so excited, they're ready to burst. That can even be true of our natural couch potatoes. Buster was previously in foster with kids and did great. Some families would love a happy go lucky dog like Buster. Like most dogs, he will need a daily walk. If you're a runner, he'd be happy to tag along. He is a total water dog, so occasional trips to the river or lake where he can splash and romp would be awesome. He also enjoys playing with toys on his own or with his peeps. While he's always up for a good time, Buster is also down for some long cuddle sessions. As far as canine siblings, Buster would do best with a gentle and playful dog. If you're looking for a true companion dog, please consider Buster. He deserves a very special home for the holiday. Check out his webpage at https://saccountydogs.com/2017/09/08/buster-8/ and then submit your application for our fave guy.
