Carly Pearce Almost Lost ‘Hide The Wine’ To This High Profile Group
It’s hard to imagine anyone else singing ‘Hide the Wine,’ but Carly Pearce revealed that she almost lost the song to another big name in country.

Can you imagine anyone other than Carly Pearce singing “Hide the Wine”? It turns out that the track was so close to going to another big name in country!
Pearce revealed to Taste of Country that Little Big Town almost had the song under their name. “They actually, like, recorded it,” she said. “I really thought that I had lost that one.”

Although it’s unsure why Little Big Town decided to pass on “Hide the Wine,” it went on to be one of the biggest singles for Pearce. The 28-year-old has been enjoying a breakthrough year with her debut album, Every Little Thing, hitting No. 1.
Now that we know “Hide the Wine” could have been a Little Big Town song, it’d be cool to hear them cover it! Or maybe even release their recorded version as a bonus track.
