Honey Smacks cereal still isn’t safe to eat, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention is warning consumers. In an update on their website, they reported 30 more people have reported sicknesses related to the outbreak since the last update on July 12th. That brings the total to 130 people across 36 states. Thankfully, there have been 0 deaths. Just 34 hospitalizations. Unfortunately, California has had numerous reports of sickness. The cereal has been recalled, though some stores may still carry contaminated boxes. The cause is believed to be Salmonella.
