I can’t even get behind soy milk, so cockroach milk definitely won’t be my thing. Apparently, it tastes pretty similar to cow’s milk. It is a non-dairy option though, which is good for people who can’t have dairy, or don’t want to have it.

Cockroach milk is secreted from the insect as crystals. It is secreted after the cockroach has babies to nourish them. According to The Guardian, the crystals contain proteins, fats and sugars. So, it’s basically a whole food.

But, it would take many cockroaches to make enough milk. Which is a problem, because they aren’t easy to milk and they die in the process. However, some companies are still exploring how to make cockroach milk happen.

And that begs the question, would you try it?
