Dan + Shay are back, and they’ve got a new song hitting the radio!
According to Nash Country Daily, the country duo have just released a new song called “Tequila.”
Co-written by band member Dan Smyers, the song is about only remembering a past love when drinking tequila.
Smyers spoke about the song, saying:
“We love breaking it down in our live shows to an acoustic guitar, a piano and just the vocals. The song starts with just Shay’s voice so the lyrics can really sink in. We’re really proud of the way the lyrics turned out on this one. We fell like the message takes people back to a certain place.”
While many assume this will be the first single off their third album, Dan + Shay have yet to announce that an album is on the way.
It’s also looking to be a big year for the duo, as they are getting ready to tour with Rascal Flatts.
