Faith Hill Performs At Aretha Franklin’s Funeral [VIDEO]

Faith Hill was one of the 19 performers during Aretha Franklin’s funeral this morning, Aug. 31. She performed ‘What a Friend We Have in Jesus.’

Faith Hill performed “What a Friend We Have in Jesus” today, Aug. 31, during Aretha Franklin’s funeral. The ceremony took place in Franklin’s hometown of Detroit, Michigan at the Greater Grace Temple.

Hill was one of 19 performers, others which included Jennifer Hudson, Stevie Wonder, and Ariana Grande. Back in 2011, Hill recorded an unreleased track with the Queen of Soul, reports Detroit Free Press. The song was originally supposed to appear on Franklin’s A Woman Falling Out of Love.

On Aug. 16, news of Franklin’s death shook the world. She passed away at 76 at her home in Detroit. Artists of all genres have banded together in their praise of her work and legacy.
