Disclaimer, yes the footage he captures is pretty awesome, and it shows him catching a fish. It also shows what happens after he catches the fish. That includes a big rock and some knives, so if you’re squeamish, don’t watch past 7:02 in the video after his first catch. Just saying.

Ok, so I’m a nerd and I love technology, so this video had my attention pretty quickly. I love that cameras are small enough and powerful enough to get such great video under water, and this guy had the perfect plan. He rigged his line so the camera would face down, got some good lures, and set out to a beautiful spot (right on the coast of Northern California, too!). After casting his line a few times, he caught on some seaweed and underwater plants, as well as rocks. On one attempt you can see the fish swimming right under the camera, and then gulping down the lure in one fast move. Such an amazing view to see, and a good looking rockfish to boot. Here’s the video:

It turns into a cooking show at the 12:41-ish mark too. The video’s like an all-in-one catch-to-cook. If you just want the cool footage, watch the first few minutes. Just interested in the cooking section, like I said, 12:41+ is for you. If you’re in to fishing in general, check out the whole video.
