Lodi Woman Crowned Miss California, Will Compete For Miss America Title [WATCH]

Congratulations to Lodi resident, MacKenzie Freed. The 23-year-old was crowned Miss California over the weekend in Fresno. That means she will go on to compete for the Miss America title later this year.

“I don’t have words,” MacKenzie said, according to RecordNet.com.

KCRA reports that MacKenzie Freed graduated from Jim Elliot Christian High School in Lodi. She also worked in at a packing house in Stockton during cherry season.

MacKenzie won the prelimiary swimsuit title. However, the swimsuit competition will no longer be featured in the Miss America Pageant in September.
