A New, Politically-Correct Version of ‘Baby It’s Cold Outside’ Is A Thing (And It’s Pretty Funny)

There’s been a lot of attention paid to unwanted sexual advances and rightly so but how do you feel about this? It’s spilling over into Christmas music. Specifically, the classic Baby It’s Cold Outside.

Online activists are trying to persuade radio stations –both terrestrial and online—to stop playing the song because, basically, the guy in the song is not taking no for an answer.

An online petition calling for a ban is being circulated on social media has thousands of signatures but supporters of the song say, c’mon, it’s a reflection of its time (it was written in the 1940s), is nowhere near as sinister as some are making it sound and that opponents are being way too over-analytical. There HAS been an updated, politically correct version written and recorded and regardless of how you feel about the controversy, it’s actually pretty funny.
