I don’t know about this…Indeed recently ranked the top cities where your money goes furthest. This includes salary, but also takes into account the cost of living, number of job postings on unemployment rate and projected job growth. And apparently when taking all of that into consideration, Sacramento came in at number six on the list.

Now, I don’t know about you, but my rent has increased every year I’ve been here. Sure, it’s still cheaper than when I lived in Los Angeles, but honestly not by THAT much. And my salary ain’t that high. Yes, I did it to myself by working in radio, but I know a lot of people who make around what I do and have to pay around the same amount for rent.

According to the Sacramento Bee, salaries go 17.6 percent further here than in San Diego and 15.7 percent further than if you lived and worked in Los Angeles. Although, it’s worth noting that “income growth here has not kept up with the jump in rents and home prices.” AKA, rent is increasing, but salaries aren’t—at least not at the same pace.

What do you think? Do you feel like your salary goes pretty far in Sacramento?
