Sam’s Club is closing up shops all over the country. 63 stores either already ceased business, or will do so in the coming weeks. This includes the Sacramento store on El Camino.
Walmart Announces Shuttering of Multiple Sam’s Club Stores
According to the Sacramento Business Journal, Sam’s Club didn’t announce the closures, but has been responding to tweets.
“…we’ve decided to close a series of clubs and better align our locations with our strategy. Closing clubs is never easy. We’re committed to working with impacted members and associates through this transition.”
Additionally, USA Today says that about 10 stores will become online distribution centers. The others will close for good, which impacts about 1,700 employees.
The El Camino location is closed today. But, it will open tomorrow. It’s last day of business is January 26, per KCRA.
