Banksy Painting ‘Self-Destructs’ Moments After Being Sold For $1.4 Million [VIDEO]

Banksy is officially the dopest person on the planet. The notorious graffiti artist pulled off one of the best pranks in modern history. In my opinion. Moments after his original Girl with Balloon painting in the “artist’s frame” sold for $1.4 million at Sotheby’s auction house in London, it self-destruct. I’m not kidding. CNN reports the painting began to shred before everyone’s eyes, thanks to a hidden shredder in the frame.
“It appears we just got Banksy-ed,” Alex Branczik, Sotheby’s senior director of contemporary art, said in the news release.
The artist actually posted a video of him making the shredder on social media before quickly deleting it. Go figure many people copied the video and began sharing it. The problem, for him, is that according to some art experts this piece may now be more valuable. Pretty sure that’s not the result he wanted.
